LEC - Lab for Ecology & Conservation

Dalla ricerca sul campo alle azioni di conservazione

From field research to conservation action

The LEC — Lab for Ecology & Conservation is part of the Department of Sciences at Roma Tre University.

Our research activities focus on the ecological processes that regulate the distribution and functioning of animal communities, with particular attention to amphibians and reptiles, endangered species, and invasive species.

The laboratory integrates approaches from behavioral ecology, functional ecology, population genetics, and ecotoxicology, with the aim of developing management and conservation strategies based on solid scientific evidence.

Activities include field research, long-term monitoring, laboratory experiments, and collaborations with management bodies, protected areas, and national and international institutions.
