As an ecologist and conservation biologist, my research focuses on the study of dynamics and interactions within animal communities, as well as on the relationships between animals and their environment. In particular, I investigate the effects of human-related threats, such as climate change and the introduction of alien species, on endangered and/or vulnerable taxa, with a specific emphasis on reptiles. Using data collected by fieldworks and advanced statistical approaches, I explore species distribution patterns, demographic trends and population/individual parameters (e.g., body condition and thermoregulation), with the aim of improving our understanding of the processes shaping species persistence and community structure.
