I am interested in the ecology and conservation of reptiles and amphibians. During my B.Sc. and M.Sc. studies, I focused on the phylogeography of European vipers and on behavioural syndromes in geckos. Throughout my academic training, I have participated in research projects investigating the ecology and life history of salamanders, newts, frogs (both native and invasive), and lizards. My PhD research examined the effects of anthropogenic pollution on wildlife using parthenogenetic invertebrates as model organisms, a line of research I continue to pursue in my postdoctoral work.

I also collaborate on the LIFE EOLIZARD project, which is dedicated to the conservation of the Aeolian wall lizard, Podarcis raffonei. Within the project, I contribute to research and monitoring activities aimed at improving our understanding of the species’ ecology and supporting the planned conservation actions.
