I am a naturalist and have worked for many years in conservation biology, wildlife management and vertebrate ecology. A major part of my work focuses on invasive alien species: I study how to prevent their introduction, reduce their impacts and turn scientific knowledge into useful tools for management and environmental policy.

I am especially interested in connecting research, legislation and practical conservation. Throughout my career, I have worked on European nature-protection policies and instruments, including the Invasive Alien Species Regulation, the Habitats and Birds Directives, CITES, and programmes such as LIFE and Horizon Europe. I enjoy collaborating with researchers, institutions and practitioners to find workable solutions to conservation challenges while staying connected to what happens in the field.
