I am an Associate Professor of Zoology at Roma Tre University and head of the LEC laboratory. My research focuses on the ecology of amphibians and reptiles, with particular emphasis on population dynamics, behavioural ecology, functional ecology, and conservation biology.

I am involved in both in situ and ex situ conservation projects, long-term monitoring programmes, and in the development and application of innovative approaches for biodiversity research and conservation, including biologging and environmental DNA (eDNA) analysis. My work aims to integrate basic and applied research to support effective strategies for the conservation and management of species and natural ecosystems.
