On September 4, 2025 Leonardo Vignoli was a guest on the Italian TV programme Unomattina (Rai 1) to discuss amphibians, reptiles, and biodiversity conservation.

During the interview, he highlighted the ecological importance of these animal groups, presenting several rare and conservation-priority species found in Italy, such as the Apennine yellow-bellied toad, the Sardinian newt and the Aeolian wall lizard.

The programme also focused on conservation and reintroduction activities carried out in collaboration with the Bioparco di Roma, including the European project LIFE EOLIZARD, dedicated to the conservation of the Aeolian lizard.
